What is a Certificate of Need & Convenience (CNC)?

To establish a health facility in Puerto Rico, you must demonstrate the need and convenience of a health related facility, such as a clinical laboratory, hospital, etc. The CNC also requires demonstrating the economic and financial feasibility of the proposed health facility.
Our services include the demonstration of need, convenience, and financial feasibility, the evaluation of opposing reports, and testimony in the administrative hearings.

Auxilio Mutuo Hospital

Auxilio Mutuo Hospital proposed an expansion of its organ transplant program to include liver and pancreas organs in Puerto Rico. To obtain the license of the PR Department of Health, the facility must submit a need, convenience, and feasibility study, which HCCG prepared and also submitted testimony in public hearings.
